Screampark is Open!

Screampark is officially open today, September 24th! The haunt is located at 903 Manchester Street in Downtown Lexington. Look for the large Screampark banner!

Tickets are only $15 for all three haunts. If you want to be first in line every time, we have VIP passes (called Screampass) for $25.

Visit the official Screampark website www.scarylexington.com for driving direction. Screampark is open Thurdays 7:00pm - 10:00pm and Friday - Sunday 7:00pm - 1:00am .

Screampark is Kentucky's largest indoor haunted event! We will be open Thursdays - Sundays, September 24th - October 31st. Screampark was voted the 2009 Newcomer of the Year by America's Best Haunts.

4th of July Parade

Despite the rain and gray skies, the monsters from Screampark along with our friends from Scarefest, walked the 4th of July parade in Downtown Lexington. We threw candy to the kids and gave out info on our upcoming events.

Screampark at Scarefest

Scarefest, the largest horror and paranormal convention in the Southeast, is coming to Lexington and Screampark will be there. September 11 - 13 at the Lexington Center in Downtown Lexington, Scarefest will present seminars, vendors and workshops.

Not only will Screampark have a booth and be pre-selling tickets to Lexington largest haunted event, but we will be sponsoring one of the greatest horror celebrities ever!

Kane Hodder, better known to horror fans as Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th film series, will be our special guest and on site during Scarefest to meet and greet his fans. Keep posted to the Screampark blog for more details !

The trailers are being unloaded, and all the components of the three haunts are being staged inside Screampark. Very soon, construction will begin and we will assemble The Castle of fear, The Abyss and Insanity.

A big thanks to everyone that helped with all the unloading, hauling and storage of the pieces. It was hot work, but we got it done! More pictures will follow! Stay tuned!

Transworld Haunt Show 2009

Tyler, Ed and Grant just got back from the premier industry trade event, the Transworld Haunt Show in St. Louis Missouri. Vendors and haunt professionals from all over the country were there.
Everything from masks and make-up to animatronics, smells, and costumes were represented. Also insurance companies, marketing firms and various ticket producers were present. This show covered all aspects of the haunt business.

The Abyss Floorplan

The initial design phase for The Abyss has begun. Our general manager, Zach, has started doing the layout for The Abyss, our completely dark haunt. A computer generated model will be created, that will allow our design team to "walk through" the haunt and make any necessary changes or upgrades.

Castle of Fear

The Castle of Fear is a traditional, Gothic themed castle where its once thriving townsfolk are now left to wander the halls and the grounds... forever! Castle of Fear features a 3,000 square foot open graveyard, complete with actual tombstones, real dirt and living plant life... including a 2,000 gallon pond. You will feel like you are in an actual burial ground!

Insanity

Insanity is our CHAOS attraction; this means anything that can go wrong, will! Massive strobe lights, dense fog, unending chain link fencing and illusions of pure horror might cause you to go a little... insane. But be warned, the smell of burning flesh will make your stomach churn.

The Abyss

The Abyss is exactly that... the unknown! Guests will travel into complete darkness only to find themselves trapped within their own minds, unable to keep their real fears from coming to life. This pitch-black haunted attraction terrorizes with dread and panics you realize... you may never find your way out!
